2021 Year in Review: 3 Top Things We Learned

What a year! With the global pandemic not even close to over, and the worldwide economy on a constant rollercoaster, it’s nothing short of a miracle for any company to have made it through the battle of 2021.

Luckily for bant.io, our team has actually grown. Our business has also grown, with more amazing clients, more new features for our dashboard and plenty to take away from the year’s activities!

Here are our top three takeaways from 2021 and what we learned from them.

1. Your business is only as strong as your team.

This first one is true for any business of any size, but with small businesses, each employee has an even greater impact. And while the bant.io team is small but mighty, every single one of our members makes a massive contribution to what we do.

Our Campaign Managers keep our clients’ campaigns going and are the lifeblood of our business, while Customer Success Managers oversee the relationship and ensure that communication runs smoothly. 

The bant.io marketing team fuels the fire by ensuring that our message and our ethos get across to the right channels, and the sales team works hard to show new clients that we can help their business grow! 

A solid business will have a similar structure, with each team supporting each other and their efforts, communicating responsibly and ensuring that everyone is working together toward a common goal.

2. Investing in the right platforms is essential to growth.

You know the age-old saying: “You have to spend money to make money.” Turns out, it’s true! Whether it’s marketing services, analytics software or even basic communication platforms, a steady business just can’t thrive if the right tools aren’t in place.

How can you track whether the ads you’re creating are performing? Do you have the right software to communicate to your clients? Can you save time by scheduling your social media posts in advance?

3. Content is still king!

This year, we really branched out in the type of content we create. We’ve created a whole content strategy based around who is going to be reading the communication, when they’ll be reading it and whether it provides value.

For example, the marketing team might find an in-depth video about the email module useful to educate our audience on the capabilities of email outreach. While the sales team might be able to utilize a one-sheet about the module that highlights top features and focuses on data from past campaigns. And the Customer Success team thrives on written tutorials of how existing clients can use some of our top features!

Getting the whole team involved in creating the content has been a game-changer for us as well. Each person on the team has contributed their own piece of the puzzle, giving them the sense of ownership and participation within the company, while helping build our library and authority within the marketing automation space.

In Conclusion

These might be obvious and simple takeaways from this year, but necessary nonetheless! And while 2021 was another whirlwind of a year, the bant.io team is looking forward to new beginnings of 2022, and the exciting prospects that come with it.
